Using worker termites and various ink pens, you can test the reaction of termites to chemicals that mimic those of their natural pheromones. By placing the termites near the prepared trail lines, students observe scent preferences, the insects' agility in maneuvering sharp angles, and their ability to pick up the scent of a lost trail.
