Carolina tops four other finalists in science and STEM educators’ vote for Outstanding Vendor.

BURLINGTON, NC, May 12, 2020 —Although the 2020 NSTA National Conference in Boston was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an important milestone was passed. The inaugural Science Educators’ Best of Show™ awards program was held, albeit virtually. Carolina Biological Supply Company was voted Outstanding Vendor from a field of five finalists.

Voters represented a cross section of NSTA Express’s readers invited to vote on organizations they felt had a positive impact on student learning and consistently provided exceptional customer service. Carolina Biological Supply Company’s president, Jim Parrish, expressed his gratitude to the voters, "So many Carolina employees put their hearts into supporting science teachers every day. It’s rewarding to have those we care so much about give us a pat on the back."

The Science Educators’ Best of Show™ awards program is a collaborative effort by Catapult X and the NSTA "that recognizes and celebrates the breakthrough products and services that have the potential to transform science and STEM teaching and learning—as chosen by science educators." In this first year of the awards program, over 2,000 science and STEM educators voted for their top picks in 11 categories. More than 50 organizations vied for awards.
